After learning throughput yield and first pass yield, you will be excited to learn about Rolled throughput yield (RTY).

We will learn about RTY in this article.

We all know what is throughput yield. If don’t know read this article.

Rolled throughput yield is the throughput yield of whole process of a product. Its calculated by multiplying individual throughput yields of each processes.

You will understand this from below calculation example.

Rolled throughput yield (RTY) Calculation

Suppose a product has three processes, A, B and C. And the individual throughput yields are 65%, 75% and 85%.

Now the Rolled Throughput Yield will be

0.65 x 0.75 x 0.85

= 41.4 %

That’s it we have done the calculations of RTY.

Thank you.
