Revisiting my Production Engineering subjects: SCT College, 2006–2010

In 2006, I joined Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering, Trivandrum, to pursue B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering stream, under the University of Kerala. I graduated in 2010.

Years later, I feel like opening those books again. Some lessons have stayed with me; others need a little refreshing. I am listing my subjects here, semester by semester, to reconnect with the learning that helped shape me as an engineer. Perhaps you will find a little of your own college days in this list too.

Semesters I and II: The foundation

Our first and second semesters were combined. These were the subjects that introduced us to the foundations of engineering.

This list follows the Production Engineering subjects shown under the University of Kerala’s 2003 scheme. Electives are retained as numbered entries because the reference does not identify the subjects I chose.

Returning to these subjects, years later

In 2010, I completed the course and moved into the next chapter of my life. Looking at these subject names today makes me want to pause and return to where that journey began.

This time, I bring years of work experience and questions I did not know to ask as a student. I want to revisit what I learned and understand it more deeply.

That is why I am keeping this list on Know Industrial Engineering. It is a small, personal starting point for learning again.
